KFM3XE Series Intelligent Molded Case Circuit Breaker

Overview & scope

The KFM3XE series intelligent molded case circuit breakers belong to the KFM3X family and are developed with advanced design and manufacturing technology. Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V; they apply to AC 50 Hz (60 Hz on request) circuits with rated operational voltage 690 V and below and rated operational current up to 800 A, for infrequent conversion and infrequent motor starting.

Protection functions cover long-time inverse overload, short-time inverse and definite-time short delay, instantaneous short circuit and undervoltage; earth-fault protection is optional. The frame current transformer self-powers the controller — protection is reliable from 0.2 In of a single phase.

Intelligent MCCB

Design & features

LCD intelligent controller with intuitive, user-settable protection parameters (knob type on KFM3E-1600).
Current bar-graph indication, pre-alarm and overload indication; controller self-diagnosis.
Isolation function included.
Compact size, high breaking capacity, short arcing distance; full internal and external accessory range.
Draw-out device available for 400 / 800 frames only (KFM3E-1600 has no 4P and no communication).
PV grid-connection dedicated version available (AC 230 V / 400 V, 50 Hz control).
DC3 electric operating mechanism; CS1 centre / CS2 offset rotary handles.

LCD intelligent controller with intuitive settings; the KFM3E-1600 frame uses a knob type.

Undervoltage release (incl. PV module)

Includes the PV grid-connection module: undervoltage trip 70%–20% Un, loss-of-voltage trip below 20% Un, overvoltage protection above 135% Un, trip delay adjustable 0–10 s.
